Hi, I am Kirsti

I am a transpersonal psychology practitioner, and I am passionate about human potential and well-being.

My path of personal and spiritual growth and development began to unfold thirty years ago when I headed off to India as a spiritual seeker at seventeen years old.

In my twenties, back in the UK, I trained as an Applied Behavioural Analysis Therapist working with children on the autistic spectrum in the private sector and with special needs children in the education sector.

I also worked as a qualified massage therapist and was drawn to all things esoteric - healing, crystals, essential oils, meditation, chakras, tai chi, and yoga.  My hobbies and my work reflected my bourgeoning life-long passion for psycho-spiritual matters, well-being, and all things mind, body, and soul.

Throughout my thirties, I traveled.  I dovetailed a luxury super-yacht career with personal and spiritual growth and development, frequenting ten-day silent meditation retreats, personal development courses, psychic, mediumship, intuitive, and energetic development retreats, yoga teacher training, and ashram life.

I have now been living on the Cote d’Azur in France for over ten years during which I ran a successful business doing massage therapy and teaching yoga, breathwork, meditation, and hypnobirthing.  However, whilst I enjoyed working with my clients, I felt that something was not quite right.

I was trying to be somebody.

I was trying to create a life after transitioning from yachting and traveling. I was trying to establish myself in a foreign country.  I wanted a family, a healthy relationship, a nice home, a great social life, and a successful business.  I was striving in every area of my life. I was striving to attain all the things of land-based living that most people took years to develop, and all the while, I lost myself and did not listen to my body.  My well-being levels plummeted, and I suffered burn-out.

So, in 2015, I closed the doors to my business ready for a personal journey inward.  I needed to heal, and I needed to discover me.  Who was I now?  Without all the traveling and striving.  What made me happy?  And what exactly did I want in life?

And what had I always been searching for?

My journey of self-discovery and healing was one of intertwined paths – the psychological and the spiritual, the academic and the experiential.  I went back to education and obtained a first-class Bachelor of Science honours degree in Psychology, and a Master of Science in Consciousness, Spirituality, and Transpersonal Psychology, two subjects I had always been passionate about my whole life. And two subjects that would help me understand why, despite all my spiritual knowledge and practices, I ended up with burn-out.   At the same time, I did the much-needed work that had to be done on myself. I retreated inwards, working on my shadow, my implicit and limiting beliefs, my behavior patterns, and my relationship with myself and those closest to me.  I also continued my spiritual practices in meditation, mindfulness, yoga, breathwork and integral practice, and attended spiritual retreats and learned from great spiritual teachers.  I nourished myself mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

I could not have imagined how my path would unfold, investing in myself in this holistic and honest way.  Today, on the outside, I look no different, but on the inside, everything has changed.  On my journey of healing and self-discovery, I learned who I am - I reconnected to myself, my real self. A self that is multi-dimensional, complicated, and messy and at the same time expansive, light and full of joy.

Today, I know who I am, and I like me. And that helps me to be authentic and whole.  Plus, I am a better wife, daughter, sister and friend.  And when I’m not, I don’t ruminate on it, and I don’t beat myself up. I have a really good relationship with myself.  I am happy, content, joyful, centered, and self-assured, but most of all, my heart is full of love and compassion for myself and all who are living this very human life.

Now, I share the gems of wisdom I collected along my path and help my clients to find their true selves and discover the parts of them that are lost or hidden. It is through embracing who we are, no matter how that looks, that we can truly be ourselves and be free from inner turmoil.

What I share with the people I work with is thirty years of experiential personal and spiritual growth and developmental practices combined with academic studies in Transpersonal Psychology.   My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and backed by the wisdom of walking the path for many years. I value presence, compassion, and non-judgment, knowing that we are all working with the same apparatus, and underneath it all, our essential self is love.

I continue to attend silent retreats to bask in the stillness of the true self.  Whilst I am no longer searching I am still learning.  Besides my academic learning, I continue to learn from great spiritual teachers and scriptures.  We are blessed in these crazy times to have unlimited access to such liberated and enlightened teachers.  They are my greatest teachers and I extend my deepest gratitude to these teachers who devote their life to our awakening.

I feel blessed to be here today and I want to share these blessings

I work one-to-one with clients face-to-face and online.  I facilitate corporate and community workshops and speak at retreats and events.  I also write about my favorite subjects and am a peer reviewer for the scientific empirical research journal; Consciousness, Spirituality, and Transpersonal Psychology.
